SWAMPSCOTT – Despite being hit as hard as any team in the area by injuries and sickness, the Swampscott Big Blue have scrapped their way to a respectable 7-7-3 record. Coach Gino Faia (now with 201 wins in his career as head coach) has had to work with just two lines for the most part, with all three senior forwards on his top line out with injuries or illness. A number of eighth grade players are gaining significant playing time.
Swampscott travels to Dorchester Saturday for a 7 p.m. start against Latin Academy (5-7-3).
