LYNNFIELD – With a 6-1 win Wednesday over Pentucket (3-10-1), the Lynnfield Pioneers have climbed back to .500 hockey (7-7-0). Coach Jon Gardner likes the way his team has maintained puck possession, and he is striving for more consistency in play all over the three zones.
Sitting at number 7 in the D3 MIAA Power Rankings, Lynnfield travels to the Graf on Saturday to face a huge challenge against Newburyport (10-3-1), currently ranked number 5 in D2. The Clippers won the first meeting by a score of 2-1. Saturday’s game starts at 2:30 p.m.
