SAUGUS – The Beverly girls basketball team (8-3) nearned a 46-29 win over Saugus (6-3) Monday night. Beverly was led offensively by Molly Potter (16-points) and Lauren Caley (11-points). Saugus was led by a 15-point effort from Peyton DiBliaso. Beverly led by 8-points at the end of the third quarter (36-28) and then the Panthers came out in the fourth quarter and turned up the defense outscoring the Sachems in the final period 10-1. Late in the first half Saugus closed to within one point of the Panthers (24-28).
