SAUGUS (Podcast) Saugus High School girls’ basketball coach Mark Schruender has stepped down from his coaching job after 10 years leading the program. His Saugus teams captured their first Northeastern Conference title in 2017 and have added two titles since then. In this podcast coach Schruender shares some of the highlights from his coaching career as well as identifying some of the people that influenced him as a coach. As for the reason for stepping away from coaching, several months ago Mark and his wife Lisa welcomed their first child, a baby daughter (Abby) to their family.
