AMESBURY – The Amesbury Red Hawks (9-2) are headed to the D7 Super Bowl Friday after their 44-26 Thanksgiving Day loss to Cape Ann League rival Newburyport (9-1).  Considering that game a tuneup fro the Red Hawks, Amesbury Coach Colin McQueen expects the team to be ready and focused for the 3 p.m. kickoff against number 1 seed Uxbridge (12-0) at Gillette Friday.

Coach McQueen is eyeing ball control as one of the keys to handling the Spartan, who have scored a whopping 497 points this season, while allowing only 124.  Amesbury has tallied 396 points, while allowing 200.
