BEVERLY — No. 18/18 nationally ranked Endicott football team defeated Curry, 48-6, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.
After facing a 6-0 deficit in the first quarter, Endicott rattled off 48 unanswered points to produce a convincing victory.
Clayton Marengi (Lynnfield) highlighted the offense with a personal-best six total touchdowns (five throwing, one rushing).
Adam Goodfellow (Wayland) manufactured a career-best three catches for 103 yards and three scores, two coming in the second quarter (13:07, 49-yards, 6-6 | 0:09, 46-yards, 27-6), and the final score in the third quarter (12:07, eight-yards, 34-6) to put a stamp on the victory.
Defensively, the Gulls won the battle in the trenches holding the Colonels’ rushing attack to a season-low 81 yards.
Five student-athletes recorded a tackle for a loss highlighted by Colin Meropoulos (Monroe, Conn.) with two takedowns for a loss of 16 yards, including one sack.
Hector Johnson (Worcester) provided constant pressure on the Curry offense with five tackles and four quarterback hurries.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Meropoulos ranks second all-time in sacks (22) in program history.
- Following today’s victory, Endicott has won the last six meetings against Curry dating back to 9/29/18.
- Colin Campbell (Howell, N.J.) generated nine total tackles, which ties his career-high.
- Johnny Carreiro (Southington, Conn.) put the clamps on Curry pass catchers with three pass breakups alongside five tackles.
- Joe Tirrell (Franklin) recorded his first career interception that set up Marengi’s 15-yard rushing touchdown in the third (11:05, 41-6 lead).
