(Videos-Photos) St. Mary’s (6-2) Tops Archbishop Williams 40-28, Solid Team Win – Joel Maggs Returns from Injury Help Offense & Defense

LYNN (Videos – Photos) St. Mary’s (6-2) scored three touchdowns in the first quarter to take a 20-0 lead over Archbishop Williams. In the second quarter each team scored two touchdowns giving the Spartans a 34-14 lead at the half. St. Mary’s was outscored in the second half 14-6 as each team was able to move the football at times and also each team was also able to make big stops defensively. In the end, St. Mary’s earned a hard fought 40-28 Catholic Central League win over Archbishop Williams. The Spartans got solid play from quarterback Yaniel Belliard, wide receiver Tyler Guy, Alef Potter, Nick Marks, and Joel Maggs on both sides of the ball (RB/LB) as he played his first game of the season, returning from an injury. St. Mary’s will be in the MIAA D6 postseason tournament starting next week, they came into the game ranked at # 12. Postgame videos are posted below.
