NORTH READING (Podcast) North Reading (4-2) will be hosting Newburyport (6-1) Friday night at 6 p.m. Both teams are coming off shutout wins last weekend. North Reading topped Essex Tech (35-0) while Newburyport beat rival Triton (42-0). In this podcast North Reading football coach Ed Blum previews Friday’s matchup and talks about his young team and how they have come together this season. In previous podcasts coach Blum has talked about their opening the season with two overtime losses. Should Newburyport win Friday’s game they would capture the Kinney Division title in the Cape Ann League, a North Reading win would keep the Hornets in the title hunt.
