PEABODY – The Peabody Tanners (6-0) left Miller Field last weekend, following a 24-7 win over the Winthrop Vikings (3-3). But, as Peabody coach Mark Bettencourt predicted, the Vikings made it tough, taking an early lead and almost breaking out to a two-touchdown advantage. A couple of huge plays by the Tanner defense was able to turn the game around in Peabody’s favor.
