LYNN (Video – Photos) The St. Mary’s Spartans (2-0) from behind (14-0) to earn a 15-14 win over Winthrop (1-1), St. Mary’s coach Sean Driscoll earns 100th career win. The winning touchdown was scored on a one yard rush by Maxwell Parent with 2:14 to play in the game. Parent then followed it up with the point after kick to give St. Mary’s their first lead of the night. Parent scored St. Mary’s first touchdown as well on a 7 yard run early in the 4th quarter. Winthrop scored first in the game on a 22 yard run by Nick Cappuccio and a one yard run by Dimitri Koutsoflakis. St. Mary’s did record two points on a Winthrop safety when the VIkings snapped the ball over their punter’s head and into the endzone.
