FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Privateers are off to their first 2-0 start since 2018 (have gone 3-0 twice in program history — 2010, 2017)
  • Saturday’s contest will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
  • Keep an eye out for Aidan Griffin (Queens, N.Y.) on defense, as the junior defensive back compiled a single-game program record three interceptions earlier this season against Hartwick to earn NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week and D3football.com Team of the Week accolades (has four interceptions total this season)
  • Offensively, Maritime (N.Y.) is averaging 167.5 yards per game on the ground and 177.50 yards through the air (one fumble lost, no interceptions)
  • The Privateers ranked second in the NEWMAC in scoring defense only allowing nine points per game this season
