PEABODY – Entering his 11th season as Peabody High School football coach, Mark Bettencourt (59-46) is excited to see how the Tanners follow up last year’s 10-1 record as they open the season at Revere on Friday at 6 p.m. The Tanners are relying on senior captain Alex Silva to be successful moving from running back to quarterback.
Senior captain Eli Batista, who piled up 1,000 yards and 15 tds as a reciever, will also be a big part of Peabody’s offense.
