Over the Labor Day weekend we are reprising over 25 feature interviews with north shore football coaches. In these interviews the coaches share memories from the days as players and reflect on the events and people that have shaped them as coaches. These interviews were conducted in August, many of them prior to the first day of practices (8/18). After Labor Day, msonewsports will be previewing opening high school matchups on the opening weekend of play. (9/8)
PEABODY (Podcast) Bishop Fenwick football coach Dave Woods has started his 26th year leading the Crusaders. This is another podcast in our summer series of interviews with north shore football coaches. Woods played his high school football at Stoneham High School and later went on to play at the University of Lowell. Woods shares stories from his high school playing career on a team that did not win many games onto to highlights from his teams at Fenwick. Last year Fenwick went 9-3 and this year they will open the 2023 season against Marblehead High School in a non-league match-up.
