Town of Ipswich: Household Hazardous Waste Day — Saturday, August 26th, 9-12
Ipswich’s annual household hazardous waste collection is this Saturday, August 26, at the Transfer Station from 9 AM to noon. Residents may bring accepted household hazardous waste items to this annual event. Please plan accordingly for other transfer station business.
If residents cannot attend Saturday’s event, this list of open HHW events in other communities offers alternative dates. Please note that only the Ipswich event is free to Ipswich residents, so there will be a charge from the regional community event you attend.
City of Salem – Due to the sea state and marine forecast, #SalemMA Ferry Service has been cancelled for today, Friday, August 25.
Salem Traffic and Parking – MBTA Bus Route Change Alert – Starting Sunday, August 27th, the 455 bus will no longer make stops along Congress and Leavitt Streets on weekdays,and will instead travel along Lafayette Street between Derby and Leavitt on all days. See attached graphics for details.
Danvers Public Schools – Welcome to our new teachers at Danvers Public Schools! Superintendent Dan Bauer and DPS administration welcomed a room full of new teachers during orientation yesterday morning.
Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker – Such a great visit to Gloucester today to celebrate the end of this summer’s the Gloucester Police Department’s Youth Anglers program.
