Reposting: 2023 Labor Day Weekend Special – (Audio) Coach’s Profile with Lynnfield High School Football Coach Pat Lamusta – It All Started with 4th-grade Classmates Wearing Football Jerseys to School

As the high school sports season approaches, we continue to re-post North Shore Football Coaches’ Profiles, first posted in 2023.   In these interviews the coaches share memories from the days as players and reflect on the events and people that have shaped them as coaches. These interviews were conducted in August, many of them prior to the first day of practices (8/18).

LYNNFIELD – Pat Lamusta is starting his 6th year as head football coach at Lynnfield High School.  The Lynnfield High history teacher (9th year) was an assistant coach with the program for four years under former head coach Neal Weidman. Lamusta graduated from Lynnfield High in 2008 before attending UMASS Amherst and Framingham State. He played college football at Framingham State. As an assistant coach he has worked on the offense and positional coaching with wide receivers and defensive backs. Coach Lamusta is also the boys’ lacrosse coach in the spring and a basketball official in the winter.

In this Coach’s Profile, Coach Lamusta reflects on his first look at football, his formative years through youth football and then into high school, then college; and he remembers many coaches, teammates, student-athletes, and others who have had a major impact on him and his coaching style.
