City of Gloucester
Lower Gloucester Avenue Sidewalk Reconstruction and Paving Starting July 17th.

On Monday, July 17, 2023, the City of Gloucester will begin sidewalk reconstruction and paving on the lower portion of Gloucester Avenue. There will be no parking on either side of the street between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, while this work is being done, so the contractor can complete the work in a timely manner. Residents will have access to their driveway/home.

The project is expected to be completed the week of August 11th. This project is weather dependent.

We recognize the inconvenience to neighbors and motorists and will take all steps necessary to minimize the disruption. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Department of Public Works at 978-281-9785.

Happy Birthday to artist Anthony de Francisci (1877-1964)! The sculptor was born in Palermo, Sicily, but by the mid 1940s, he was an established member of the Rockport art colony. For years, this sculpture of “Diana” stood at the studio of Emile Gruppé on Rocky Neck

Summer Strength and Conditioning: Open to any student in grades 10-12.6am-8am.  Each workout will consist of a Speed/Agility/Conditioning/lifting component Workouts will start at 6:00am sharp on the Turf at BHS.  Wed & Fri Starting June 26th and ending August 11th. Go Panthers
