SALEM (Podcast) Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo was sworn into office on Saturday May 13th. In this podcast interview the mayor updates listeners on his first nearly seven weeks in office. Pangallo discusses this week’s July 4th celebration planned for the city.
The new Mayor has made the Salem Public Schools a priority in his administration in stressing their accomplishments but also supporting efforts for improving the schools. In the past week his administration has appointed a Salem High School building committee for a planned new high school.

Salem has just added three new @ridebluebike stations and 18 additional bikes. With support from a Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization Community Connections grant, new stations were deployed in Vinnin Square, Bridge Street Neck, and on Derby Street.
