Essex County Sheriff’s Office – We want to thank Cristian Sciaudone of North Andover for creating a replica of our Anti-Graffiti Truck out of Legos. The 17-year-old has built replicas of fire trucks from almost every fire department in Massachusetts, as well as Lego models of tow trucks, police vehicles, and other law enforcement equipment.
Cristian said he saw our Anti-Graffiti truck driving by his house and wanted to learn more about this unique vehicle. He built a digital model from photos and then recreated the truck in Legos. Today, he presented it to Sheriff Kevin Coppinger and Anti-Graffiti Unit Officer Wilson Geronimo.
Thank you Cristian for honoring us with your work. We couldn’t be more appreciative of your work and gift!

AAA – Record Travel Projected – AAA projects 50.7 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Independence Day weekend, setting a new record for the holiday. Domestic travel over the long weekend will increase by 2.1 million people compared to 2022. This year’s projection surpasses the previous July 4th weekend record set in 2019 of 49 million travelers.
“We’ve never projected travel numbers this high for Independence Day weekend,” said Mary Maguire, Vice President of Public and Government Affairs for AAA Northeast. “More than 1.4 million Massachusetts residents will be among those traveling, 1.2 million of us by car. Both mirror the national trends and are higher than the number of travelers and drivers from a year ago.”
This July 4th weekend is expected to set a new record for the number of Americans traveling by car for the holiday. AAA expects 43.2 million people will drive to their destinations, an increase of 2.4% over 2022 and 4% higher than 2019.
