IPSWICH – The number-one seed Ipswich Tigers (17-1) have advanced to the D4 MIAA Girls’ Lacrosse Tournament Quarterfinals thanks to their 17-5 win Thursday over Monomoy (number 17, 16-4). Coach Allison Tivnan’s account of the game is below; and in today’s interview, she mentions how her players remain focused amid all of the end-of-year distractions.
The Tigers host number 8 seed Mount Greylock (19-2) on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Ipswich beat Monomoy 17-5 in the Sweet 16. The Tigers were led by Halle Greenleaf (3 goals, 1 assist), Ella Stein (3 goals), Carolyn Bailey (2 goals), Allie Wile (2 goals), Kayden Flather (1 goal, 1 assist), Estelle Gromko (1 goal, 1 assist), Jayne Krause (1 goal, 1 assist), Lyla Greenleaf, Taryn Desmond and Keira McPartlin. Ashton Flather had 4 saves in goal. Ipswich advances to the Elite 8 Sunday at 2:00!
