FINAL UPDATE—Threat of a shooter has been confirmed to be a hoax. All search teams secure from the school. Investigation ongoing to determine the source of the hoax threat.
UPDATE 4-Teams continue to do due diligence with secondary sweeps and still no evidence of gunman or any threat located. State Police Fusion Center is assisting @DanversPolice in investigating source of initial threat.
UPDATE 3–Building-by-building sweeps still ongoing at St. John’s Prep in #Danvers. Teams have found no threats or victims. Imperative that they clear each building completely and thoroughly. Thank you to the public for understanding that updates are thus going to be periodic.
UPDATE 2–Teams still conducting sweeps, still no threats detected. Students who fled school grounds on their own are being directed/shuttled to Stop and Shop, 301 Newbury St (Rt 1) Danvers. Parents can report there to be reunited with their children.
UPDATE—Students are already out or are being cleared out of the buildings. We will advise the public where they can be reunited with their parents once a location is confirmed.
