LYNN – Check out several events this weekend at Lynn Museum / Lynn Arts
Spring Open House is this Friday! 5/12/23
After the success of our Untold Stories: A History of Black People in Lynn exhibition (May 2021 – July 2022), we reimagined the show into a rotating display in our second-floor galleries. Join us from 4-7 pm on Friday, May 12th, as we open Untold Stories: Community Changemakers.
Expanding on the collaborative exhibition co-curated with Lynn’s Black community members, we continue to explore the stories of thought leaders, activists, and community champions. The exhibition highlights Abner Darby, George Washington Johnson, Lillie C. Jones, Ed & Pearl Brown, and Chickie Wilson.
The display features photographs, family memorabilia, ephemera from the Lynn community, and artifacts from the Lynn Museum’s collection.
Second Saturday of the Month
Saturday, May 13 | 10 am – 2 pm. Join us on the second Saturday of each month for free admission to the Museum from 10 am – 2 pm! View our latest exhibitions, enjoy special activities, and purchase one-of-a-kind Lynn merchandise in our shop. Check out “Untold Stories: Community Changemakers” while you’re here!
We are excited to welcome the Department of Dreams for a community dream pop-up from 12-2 pm in the Community Gallery at LynnArts (25 Exchange Street)—the pop-up features free tarot readings, sound healing, and art-making.
