BOXFORD (Video – Photos) Beverly’s Noah Guanci pitched a complete game 10 strikeout performance against the top team in the Northeastern Conference. The 5-2 win over Masconomet was decided when the panthers scored three runs in the top of the 7th inning to break a 2-2 tie. Logan Petrosino lined an opposite field single to left field driving home two runners for Beverly. Ian Visnick then plated the third run of the inning with a single. Beverly have a 2-0 lead in the game until the 6th inning when Masco tied the game at 2-2. Paul Donnelly pitched well for Masco. Beverly (10-3 / 7-2) qualified for the MIAA tournament with Monday’s win while Masconomet falls to (9-3 / 6-1), suffering their first loss in the league this season.
