BEVERLY – Endicott senior first baseman Jake Nardone (Wakefield) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week for the Gulls (4/10-16), Nardone tore the cover off the ball in four games for Endicott, all victories. He batted .583/.706/1.667 with hits in all four contests and two multi-hit games.
The Gulls’ veteran had seven hits on the week with six of them going for extra bases. He had two doubles, a triple, and three home runs, while also scoring five runs and driving in 10.
Nardone’s top performance came against Salem State, a game in which he went 3-for-4 with a double and two long balls, scoring three times and driving in four runs.
He also played perfect defense on 31 total chances.
This is Nardone’s second career CCC Player of the Week honor (4/26/21).
