Texting and Driving Leads to Gun Arrest & Charges of Furnishing a False Identity – Lynn Man Charged

REVERE – (Photos) – MA State Police Report – Saturday, April 8, 2023, Trooper Shayne Cambria pulled over a black Honda Accord on Ferragamo Way in Revere. The driver of the Honda was clearly holding an electronic device as he was passing by Trooper Cambria’s cruiser.

Trooper Cambria made contact with the operator of the Honda and discovered the man did not have a license or ID card with him. Trooper Cambria asked the man for his name and date of birth but was not able to match the man’s stated information with any records. Now backed up by Trooper Carlo Mastromattei, Trooper Cambria removed the man from the driver’s seat of the Honda in order to confirm his license status.

Troopers frisked the man, and the immediate area of the driver’s seat. During the frisk, Troopers located a loaded 9MM Ruger handgun in the center console of the Honda. With no driver’s license, no identification, and no license to carry a firearm, the man was placed under arrest.

Trooper Cambria transported the man to the Revere Barracks to be booked, photographed, and fingerprinted. The man insisted his name and date of birth was the one previously given to Trooper Cambria. Just prior to being fingerprinted, through an interpreter the man gave his true identity, RENSO LINO RAMOS, 25, of Lynn.

LINO RAMOS was found to have three active felony warrants, and one misdemeanor warrant out of Lynn District Court.

LINO RAMOS finished booking at the Revere Barracks, and was arraigned at Chelsea District Court on additional charges of:

1. Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle;
2. Motor Vehicle Operator Refusing To Identify;
3. Unlicensed Possession Of A Firearm;
4. Carrying A Loaded Firearm;
5. Possession Of Ammunition Without FID;
6. Improper Storage Of A Firearm;
7. Arrestee Furnishing A False Identity; and
8. Operation While Holding An Electronic Device.
