St. Mary’s Girls Hockey Competes Tonight in State Final vs. Shrewsbury at TD Garden – Hear from Captains & Coach

Sunday 3/19 Update – This post originally went up this past week. The St. Mary’s girls hockey team shoots for a state title tonight at the TD Garden. Our website will provide updates tonight. 

LYNN (Podcast – Video) The St. Mary’s girls hockey program is headed to the division one state title game for the first time in 10 years. #1 St. Mary’s (25-1-0) will meet #3 Shrewsbury (20-2-2) Sunday night (7:30 p.m.) at the TD Garden. St. Mary’s hockey won division one state titles in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2013. Thier first state title was in division two in 2005. Head coach Frank Pagiluca has been at the helm for all of the D1 titles as he became head coach for the 2005-06 season. Below hear from coach Pagliuca on Sunday’s game and an overview of this year’s Spartan team. Also, hear from the team’s three captains. (Kelly Lovett, Jenna Chaplain, and Ang Calino). The interviews were conducted prior to Wednesday’s practice at the Connery Rink in Lynn.
