BYFIELD – As the number 10 seed in the MIAA D3 Boys’ Hockey Tournament, the Triton Vikings (13-7-2) have won two close games to reach the quarterfinals. Their next opponent is the number 2 seeded Lynnfield Pioneers (20-1-1) who have defeated Triton twice in the regular season by 2-goal margins in each game. Coach Ryan Sheehan calls the most recent playoff win over Hanover, the number 7 seed, “one of the most satisfying” games so far.
Gametime is 8 p.m. at the Stoneham Arena on Wednesday.
