DANVERS – Essex Tech won the Massachusetts Voke/Tech championship last weekend with a 5-1 win over Latin Academy (10-8-1). Coach Mark Leonard’s Haekscompiled a regular season record of 17-1-2 to earn them the number 8 seed in the highly competitive MIAA D3 Hockey Tournament. Essex Tech will play Northbridge (10-10-0) at home in Round 1 of the tourney at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday.
