Gloucester 66, Bishop Fenwick 47

Senior Nate Montagnino poured in 26 points to lead the Fishermen over the Crusaders in the first round of the Larry McIntire IAABO Board 130 Classic at Marblehead High School. Senior guards Adam Borowick (12) and Ashton Davis (10) combined for 22 points for Gloucester, which will face Marblehead in the championship game Monday at 6 p.m. Junior James Meklis led Fenwick with 17 points.

Marblehead 79 , Bedford 73

The Magicians will have a chance to defend the title they won last year after outlasting a tough group of Buccaneers in the first round of the Larry McIntire IAABO Board 130 Classic at Marblehead High School. Tyrone Countrymon led Marblehead with 26 points, while Ryan Commoss scored 16 and Nicholas Lemmond added 16. Bedford’s Justice Buchanan led all scorers with 40 points.

Girls

North Andover 50 , Bishop Fenwick 35

Senior guard Hannah Martin exploded for 37 points to lead the Scarlet Knights in the first round of the Larry McIntire IAABO Board 130 Classic at Marblehead High School. Martin hit four 3-pointers and went 9-10 from the free-throw line. Cecilia Kay (13), Anna Fertonani (9) and Celia Neilson (8) combined for 30 points for the Crusaders. North Andover will take on Masconomet in the championship game Monday at 4:15 p.m.

Masconomet 43, Peabody 32

The third time was the charm for the Chieftains, who had lost to the Tanners twice this season. Masco took a 9-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Mia Theberge led the Chieftains with 17 points, while Kaleigh Monagle added 13 and Taylor Bovardi had 10. Logan Lomasney had a game-high 18 points for the Tanners, who will play Bishop Fenwick in the consolation game Monday at 1 p.m.
