LYNN (Videos – Photos) Lynn Classical girls basketball broke a 9-9 tie at the end of the first quarter by outscoring Saugus in the second quarter 17-2. Lynn Classical remained unbeaten by securing a 47-28 win over Saugus. It was a combination the Rams finding their offense and digging in defensively that powered the Rams in the second quarter. At the half, Classical had a 26-11 lead. Saugus made a couple of runs in the second half but could only cut their deficit to under double digits, once (26-17), early in the third quarter. Lynn Classical was led in scoring by Ava Thurman’s 15 points and Lauren Wilson’s 11 points. The Saugus top scorer was Peyton Dibiasio (11 points). The two teams will face each other again next week in Saugus; (Wednesday 12, noon)
