BOXFORD – Superintendent Michael Harvey and Masconomet Regional Middle School Art Department Head Stacy Mannheim announced the 2023 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Award results.
The program had 7,363 entries from students in grades seven through 12 across Massachusetts. Masconomet middle school students received a total of 24 awards which included four gold keys, nine silver keys and 11 honorable mentions. The school won more awards than any other public middle school program in the state.
Gold key winning work advanced to a national-level review and results will be announced in late March.
Art teachers Ursina Amsler and Yvonne Malinowski guided students through their respective projects.
There will be an in-person exhibit and awards ceremony for gold and silver key recipients on Saturday, March 18, at Tufts University.
“We would like to congratulate all of the students for their hard work, as well as the art faculty that helped the students excel in this contest,” Superintendent Harvey said. “We are very proud of students’ work and the recognition they received.”
Gold key winners were Caleb Aitchison, Bella Denis, Ada Eisenberg and Kiera Macaulay. Silver key winners were Zachary Bezanson, Emma Bissell, Charlotte Guido, Kiera Macaulay, Alexis Mitchell, Bridget Moran and Lily Williams.
