NEWBURYPORT – Newburyport’s Ward 2 city councilor, Jennie Donahue, is a former chairperson for the Newburyport Commission on Disabilities. Legally blind, she has a unique perspective from the council with respect to how infrastructure can hinder the disabled.
She also is advocating for more revenue for Newburyport and is currently in the beginning stages of proposing lifting the ban on retail cannabis in city. An informational meeting is taking place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at the Senior Center, 331 High Street in Newburyport.
