WINTHROP -Perennial Northeastern Conference rivals Danvers (5-6-2) and Winthrop (11-2-1) were tied at 1 after 2 periods Wednesday night before Vikings junior forward Peter Silverman scored 4 goals in the the third to spark Winthrop to a 6-1 win. Silverman tallied a total of 5 goals for the night and leads the Vikings in scoring.
Winthrop coach Dale Dunbar, like other coaches who have teams vying for championships, has challenged both individual players and the team in general to avoid complacency as the Vikings heads down the home stretch.
