MARBLEHEAD (Videos – Photos) The Marblehead boys basketball team (2-0) defeated Salem (0-1) 56-50 in the Witches opening game of the season. Marblehead led at the half 23-19 and held leads hovering around 8-10 points in much of the second half. Marblehead was led in scoring by a 14-point performance from Miles O’Neill, Isaiah Makor added 13-points, Ryan Commoss contributed 12 points. Salem was led by Corey Grimes and Chris Qirjazi, each with 12-points. Both teams will spend next week in Florda playing in a high school tournament. The teams leave Boston for Orlando on Saturday and return next Friday night.
