DANVERS – The Danvers Falcons opened up the local high school hockey season Friday night with an 11-1 win against the newly-formed and young Peabody/Saugus co-op team. Falcons coach Kevin Fessette was pleased with the fast start for HIS young team, but recognizes there are major challenges ahead immediately in the Cobblestone Invitational Tournament Sunday vs Greater Lowell/Nashoba at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell and in the championship or consolation game Monday with opponent TBA.
