Essex Police Department Invites Community to Combination Stuff-a-Cruiser and Coffee with a Cop Event
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: In front of the Public Safety Building, 11 John Wise Ave.
WHAT: The Essex Police Department will combine a Stuff-a-Cruiser event with a Coffee with a Cop event, giving residents a chance to have a coffee and chat with police while also contributing to a merry Christmas for families in need.
A marked police cruiser will be parked in front of the Essex Public Safety Building, ready to take donations of unwrapped toys and gift cards. Donations will be accepted throughout the event.
For those who may not be able to attend the event, donations will be accepted in the main lobby vestibule of the Public Safety Building, as well as the lower lobby vestibule until Dec. 18.The toys will subsequently be distributed to several local toy drives this year.
Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll – Yes, we can have innovative, low cost, on-demand public ride share services in our communities! Skipper has now exceeded 100,000 rides – 112,527 total rides & over 5,000 riders served. In all, the service has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by +61 tons. salemma.gov/skipper
Some exciting new highs for the Salem Skipper – over 5,000 total unique riders since the service launched, with a peak of over 2,000 rides per week!
