DANVERS (Video – Photos – Podcast) It was a big performance in a big game for St. John’s Prep in their 28-7 state semifinal win over Central Catholic. Harrington Trophy North Shore Football Player of the Week Carson Browne was involved in four Prep touchdowns. Browne rushed for 136 years, scoring three running touchdowns and throwing for a fourth touchdown with a 28-yard halfback option pass. Browne missed the Prep’s first three games to start the season with an ankle injury but appears to be in top form as he prepares for the MIAA D1 Super Bowl 12/3 vs. Springfield Central at Gillette Stadium (12:30 p.m.) The Prep had lost to Central Catholic earlier this season in week two, 17-7.
