BEVERLY – The Endicott football team (5-0, 1-0 CCC) is set to host Nichols (3-2, 0-1 CCC) in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) showdown on Saturday, October 8 at 12 PM at Hempstead Stadium. Here’s a preview of this week’s contest.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott holds a 16-2 advantage in the all-time series against Nichols (13 straight victories).
- The last time these two teams met, the Gulls routed the Bison, 37-3, en route to securing their first conference title since 2014.
- Endicott’s Tyler Bridge (Wells, Maine) and Nichols’ Zahir Brown (Philadelphia, PA) rank third and fourth in the CCC in rushing yards per game at 69.9 and 69.0, respectively.
- Nichols ranks first in the conference in total offense (1,993 yards, 398.6 per game) and points per game (34.4).
- The Gulls are only allowing a league-low 4.0 points per game.

PEABODY (Video) Peabody football scored a 40-7 win over Marblehead Friday night. With the win the Tanners improve to 4-0 on the season and snap Marblehead’s 23 game winning streak. The Magicians are now 3-1 on the season. Peabody receiver Danny Barrett had 12 receptions for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is a senior captain and those receptions kept crucial drives alive on 3rd down situations.
