DANVERS – A fourth down gamble by Danvers Falcons coach Ryan Nolan paid off when Owen Gasinowki faked a punt from his own 10 yard line and picked up a first down out to the Danvers 44. After another giant 4th down play by Gasinowski later in the drive (a 35 yard pass from quarterback Travis Voisine), Gasinowski scored what would turn out to be the winning touchdown from 5 yards out to give the Falcons a 21-14 lead over Haverhill with 8:58 left in the game.
Earlier, Haverhill quarterback James Farrell had fired touchdown passes of 30 and 20 yards to senior captain Aiden Sarette, while both Danvers touchdowns had been scored by Joe Baker on runs of 29 and 5 yards.
Haverhill’s final 2 points were recorded on a safety late in the 4th quarter.

Pre-game Notes
DANVERS – The Danvers Falcons (0-1) plan to avoid the late-game fade they experienced in last week’s 35-21 loss to Tewksbury. The invading Haverhill Hillies (1-0) have other plans as they look to make it a clean sweep over the Northeastern Conference after downing the Beverly Panthers (0-1) 25-14 a week ago.
