BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball student-athlete Katie Watts (Swampscott, Mass.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Watts led Endicott to a 4-2 week (4/18-24), batting .474/.524/.737 over the six games. She had at least one hit in every contest and multiple hits on three occasions.
Watts started off the week with a 3-for-6 showing in a non-conference doubleheader sweep of Salem State. She scored twice in the series and drove in five runs.
Watts had three more hits in a CCC doubleheader split against Salve Regina before closing out the week with another 3-for-6 performance in a doubleheader against Suffolk.
She scored four runs and drove in three against the Rams and also hit a home run.
For the week, Watts had seven runs scored and eight RBI.
This is Watts’ first career CCC Player of the Week award.
