The victim in Wednesday’s Fatal motorcycle crash has been identified as Yanni Stasinos a 53-year-old male from Peabody. No further information is available. Original release below.
At approximately 6:15 p.m.. Wednesday, Troopers assigned to State Police-Newbury responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle on Route 95 southbound South of Central Street (Exit 81) in Newbury. Members of Newbury Fire and EMS responded as well.
Upon their arrival they observed operator of the motorcycle, identified as a 53-year-old man from Peabody, to be suffering from serious injuries and began life-saving efforts. He succumbed to his injuries while at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the operator was the sole occupant on the motorcycle.
The exact cause and circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by Troop A of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section. Lane closures were in place for approximately two hours to facilitate crash investigation and cleanup. No further information is available at this time.
