WINTHROP – Winthrop High School hockey coach, former pro defenseman, and NHL agent Dale Dunbar has his Vikings on the climb. After losing 3 of their first 4 games, the Vikings have now won 3 straight, including a huge 3-1 win over Gloucester a week ago; outscoring the opposition, 17 to 1, during the streak.
In a Tuesday interview with Rick Moore, coach Dunbar reflects on the legacy of Willie O’Ree, the importance of what hockey can be for youngsters, and the improvement he seeing with his own team as the season progresses.
