BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women’s soccer graduate student Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
For the week, Caponigro led the Gulls to a 1-0-1 record overall, going 1-0-0 in CCC play. The Swampscott, Mass. native scored two goals and assisted on one for five total points for the week. In the first match, Caponigro scored a goal and assisted on another in the team’s 3-3 double-overtime draw against Wheaton. The midfielder finished the week scoring a goal in the team’s eventual 3-1 win over CCC rival Roger Williams on Homecoming.
The five points were the first of the season for Caponigro and vaulted into second on the team for total points and goals (2).
