AMESBURY – Amesbury High School football coach Colin McQueen says even his coaches were wobbly-legged after the hard-fought, nail-biting 22 to 14 win at home against Wayland (1-1) last Friday night. For a team that lost two-thirds of its roster to graduation, Amesbury could well challenge for the top spot in the Cape Ann League.
First things first, though, as a road trip to play Hamilton-Wenham on Saturday is the next challenge.
