LYNN – The Marblehead Magicians (2-0) scored 6 consecutive touchdowns in the second and third quarters to break open a one-point game and down the Lynn Classical Rams (1-1), 54-18.
Connnor Cronin scored three times for Marblehad, Josh Robertson added two (to go along with 3 td passes), James Galante scored twice (including on a 46 yard punt return) and Eddie Johns picked up one touchdown.
Darren Omoregie (2 touchdown receptions) and Brian Vaughn, Jr. (3 td passes) were the offensive stars for Classical. Kevin Durant made a terrific catch of a 27-yard pass from Vaughn for the final score of the game.
The Magicians had a total of 401 yards of offense from scrimmage, while the Rams totaled 356 yards.
Marblehead hosts North Andover next Friday at 7, while Classical travels to Somerville for a 7 p.m. kick off.
