Greater Cape Ann Community Collaborative Will Hold Community Pop-up Vaccination Clinic in Manchester-by-the-Sea
The Greater Cape Ann Community Collaborative is pleased to share that it will partner with the Laughing Gull Café to offer a community pop-up vaccination clinic in Manchester-by-the-Sea.
The clinic will take place at the café, 4 Summer St., on Thursday, Aug. 26, from 8-10 a.m. Collaborative nursing staff will be on hand to administer vaccines, and answer any questions visitors may have. The Pfizer and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines are available. No appointment is necessary.
The GCACC strongly encourages those who have not been vaccinated to do so, especially amid an uptick in COVID-19 cases recently due to the Delta Variant. The Delta Variant is far more contagious than past versions of the virus.
Virtually all COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths in the United States continue to be among unvaccinated individuals. The most significant levels of spread, and most severe cases of illness and death associated with COVID-19 — including Delta Variant cases — are occurring in places with low vaccination rates. Additionally, vaccinated individuals represent a very small portion of total Delta Variant transmissions.
GCACC clinics are open to all Massachusetts residents age 12 and older. Vaccines are free to all. Identification and health insurance are not required.
GCACC is a state-approved and state-supported COVID-19 vaccine provider. This clinic has been authorized to offer third doses only to individuals with compromised immune systems.
GCACC requests that people consult their doctor before requesting a third vaccine dose. Some medical professionals may recommend patients stop a certain medication before receiving a third dose. GCACC staff cannot offer individualized medical guidance.
Those who are immunocompromised and are seeking a third dose of Pfizer vaccine are asked to bring their Vaccine Record Card to the clinic. Attendees will be asked to self-attest that they are eligible for a third dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
GCACC also will hold its two regular Thursday clinics:
  • Essex Library, Burnham Free Library, 30 Martin St., from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Register for a dose of the Pfizer vaccine here. Register for a dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine here.
  • Topsfield Fairgrounds, Bee Building, 2-3:30 p.m. Register for a dose of the Pfizer vaccine here. Register for a dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine here.
The Greater Cape Ann Community Collaborative is a coalition of the municipal governments of Boxford, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Middleton, Topsfield, Rockport, and Wenham.
