MARBLEHEAD – After having the bats shut down on Tuesday with only 3 hits and 17 K’s against Danvers, the Magicians bounced back with 12 hits, including three doubles, two triples and one homerun.
Junior second baseman Matt Titus went 3-4 with a triple, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
Junior right fielder Schuyler Schmitt had his first career homerun to straight away center field. He added a triple later and had 3 RBI on the day as well as 2 runs scored.
On the mound, Senior Captain Albino started and went 2.2 and was picked up by Junior AJ Andriano 2.1 innings and Junior James Doody who went 1 inning. Senior Captain Jacob Sherf came in to close out the last inning.
It was 1-1 after one inning and then 3-3 after 3 innings.
Marblehead then added 2 in the fourth, one in the fifth.
Danvers added two in the top of the sixth to make it 6-5 but Marblehead exploded in the 6th for 6 runs.
Danvers came back with 2 in the 7th but Jacob Sherf got out of it.
Marblehead (2-2) travels to Beverly Monday while Danvers (2-3) faces Bishop Fenwick on Saturday.
