BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men’s lacrosse team defeated rival Western New England, 9-4, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.
The victory marks the 10th conference title in program history for the Gulls and first since 2017.
Defensively, Endicott held Western New England to the second-lowest goals allowed (tied) in CCC Championship history (based on available data, 4th goal given up w/two seconds to play).
Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.), Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.), and Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.) paced the offense with two goals apiece.
The Gulls also received solo tallies from Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.), Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.), and John Koebel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) in the victory.
In cage, Austin Fournier (Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.) stopped 10 shots to improve 12-2 on the season. As a unit, Fournier and the defense held Western New England scoreless until the 4:32 mark of the second quarter (saves: 5, wide: 3, crossbar: 1, blocked 1).

WHAT’S NEXT
Endicott (12-2) has earned the conference’s automatic bid into the 2021 NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship. First round action for the NCAA Tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday, May 15.
