Hamilton Wenham improves to 5-2 with a 69-46 victory over Ipswich. The Generals were led by seniors Ryan Monahan with 26 points and 20 rebounds, and Ryan Hutchinson with 21 points 9 rebounds 7 assists and 6 steals.
From girls coach Mark Cole:
Playing back to back nights caught up with the Lady Generals who fell to Ipswich 43-37. Tonight’s game was close throughout with Ipswich heading into the 4th with a 33-29. Ipswich went on a run keyed by Riley Davis (12pts) and Carter King (18 pts) and opened up a 10 point lead 41-31 with 4 minutes to play. But the Generals behind a 3 pointer from Kailee Whelan (5 points) and 2 free throws by Sarah Cooke cut it 5 with the ball. But a missed 3 pointer led to Hamilton Wenham having to foul and Ipswich hit a couple key ones to ice the game. Sarah Cooke broke out of a season long shooting slump with 4 3’s and 16 pin TD on the night. Jane Maguire chipped in with 7. The Generals are off tomorrow night and will take on Triton Saturday which will be senior day
