At approximately 12:51 yesterday, Gloucester Police and Fire responded to a reported body floating face down in the water in Rafes Chasm (Hesperus Ave). On arrival they found a woman unresponsive in the water. They pulled her out of the water and transported her to the Addison Gilbert Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
She has been identified as Cassandra Baker, 41, of Beverly. Foul play is not suspected.
