GLOUCESTER – Gloucester residents will vote on Tuesday whether or not to fund a new school by voting for a debt exclusion that would enable two existing elemetary schools to be consolidated into one. The new school is to be built on land that will necessitate the removal of the Joseph Mattos Memorial Field on Webster Street.
Patti Amaral and Denise Pascucci explain in the podcast below the reasons they are advocating against the new school’s being built in order to save Mattos Field; they recently were major players in raising almost $300,000 to renovate the field just a few years ago.
